The Langatun Distillery, which can trace its roots back to the 1850s, was reopened in 2005 by Hans Baumberger, great grandson of the original founder Jakob Baumberger. Hans, on retiring from a career in the brewing & glass industry, has re-established the Langatun Distillery in Langenthal & the distillery has quickly gained a first class reputation for the quality of its whiskies. Christoph Nyfeler - joint owner of Langatun - will host this edition of the Hedonism Whisky Club & present a selection of fine single malts including many from the distillery's recently launched limited edition cask finish series. Whiskies to be enjoyed on the evening of the tasting include Langatun Old Deer Chardonnay & Sherry cask matured, Old Bear Chateauneuf-du-Pape matured, Oloroso Cask Finish & Sauternes Cask Finish. Tickets for this event are £25, redeemable against any purchase of Langatun whiskies on the evening of the tasting.
